Job Summary
We are looking to recruit a confident, enthusiastic and adaptable Cover Supervisor to work within a secondary school, delivering pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers or experienced education professionals looking to gain valuable classroom experience while making a positive impact on students' learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise whole classes in the absence of the class teacher.
- Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and ensure students remain on task.
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school's behaviour policy.
- Provide guidance and support to students during lessons where appropriate.
- Record attendance and report any issues or concerns to teaching staff.
- Ensure a safe, positive and productive learning environment.
- Support the wider school community when required, including break and lunch duties.
- Follow all safeguarding, health and safety, and school policies.
Requirements
- Experience working with children or young people is desirable.
- Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor, Teaching Assistant, Tutor, Sports Coach or Youth Worker is advantageous but not essential.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- A confident and professional approach with the ability to engage students.
- Flexible, reliable and able to adapt to different subjects and year groups.
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
- Right to work in the UK.

Pay: £108.50-£160.00 per day
