We are seeking an energetic and motivated Part-time Membership Advisor to join our team. This is not just a desk job we need someone who can combine great customer service with a strong sales drive. You’ll be the first face our members and visitors see, so you’ll need to bring energy, professionalism, and a genuine passion for health and fitness.
As a Membership advisor, you'll play a key role in growing our membership community by delivering exceptional customer experiences, driving membership sales and supporting member retention. Every interaction is an opportunity to make a positive impact, whether you're welcoming a prospect, supporting an existing member or promoting the products and services that help people achieve their goals.
You'll act as a brand ambassador, supporting the club's commercial goals while delivering exceptional service to every member, guest and prospect
Responsibilities
- Greeting and assisting members and guests in a friendly, professional manner
- Selling memberships, personal training packages, and other gym services
- Providing tours of the facility to potential members
- Utilise Salesforce or similar Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools to track interactions, follow-ups, and membership status
- Assist with gym resets and operational tasks where required
- Collaborate with team members to develop strategies for increasing membership engagement and retention
- Managing front desk operations, including bookings and payments
- Assist in onboarding new members by explaining benefits, policies, and available resources clearly and enthusiastically
- Ensuring reception area and communal spaces remain tidy and welcoming
Experience
- Target-driven mindset with a desire to achieve results
- Previous experience in sales, hospitality, retail, leisure or customer service
- Flexible approach to working hours, including weekends and Bank Holidays
- Experience using sales, booking or membership systems
- Demonstrated ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment
- Strong fitness knowledge and understanding of gym environments
