The purpose of the Registered Nurse role is to support the Clinical Lead/Deputy Manager in providing leadership to care staff and ensuring the delivery of high-quality care within the service. The role involves maintaining professional clinical skills, managing care delivery in line with legislative and regulatory requirements, and ensuring care is delivered in accordance with agreed standards, best practice, and financial plains

Roles and Responsibilities
Care Delivery
- Ensure service users are at the centre of care delivery and their wishes and preferences support their wellbeing.
- Undertake care planning to meet service users’ physical, psychological, and social needs.
- Develop care plans in collaboration with service users, families, friends, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Provide nursing care in line with policies, procedures, legislation, and best practice.
- Maintain up-to-date clinical knowledge and skills.
Medication and Clinical Practice
- Undertake all aspects of medication management in line with legal, professional, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and report any clinical concerns to the Home Manager.
Leadership and Team Support
- Support and provide leadership to care staff within the service.
- Organise and guide the care team to ensure effective service delivery.
- Promote effective working relationships with staff and multidisciplinary teams.
Safeguarding and Safety
- Promote and safeguard the welfare of individuals using the service.
- Respond appropriately and competently to emergencies.
Professional Responsibilities
- Work within the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) Code of Conduct.
- Attend statutory and role-related training.
- Maintain NMC registration and meet revalidation requirements.
- Seek opportunities for professional and personal development.
