Job Description – Home Care Assistant
Caring Hands is looking for two kind, reliable and compassionate Home Care Assistants to join our small, friendly care company. We provide high-quality, person-centred care to clients in their own homes, helping them to remain safe, comfortable and independent.
The current care calls being advertised are based in Hucknall, Brinsley, Selston and surrounding areas, so applicants must be able to travel between clients’ homes.
The role will include supporting clients with personal care, pad changes, medication prompts, meal preparation, drinks, light household duties, companionship, mobility support and completing daily care records. You may also support with hoisting and moving and handling where required, following full training and competency checks.
The role may also include supporting clients to access the community, such as going for walks, attending appointments, shopping, social activities or days out, depending on each client’s care plan and individual needs.
We are looking for someone who is caring, patient, trustworthy and respectful, with a genuine passion for helping others. You must be reliable, able to work independently, and confident in communicating with clients, families and the Caring Hands team.
Previous care experience is preferred, but not essential, as full training and shadowing will be provided. Applicants must have a full UK driving licence and access to their own vehicle due to travelling between clients’ homes.
An enhanced DBS check, right to work checks and references will be required before starting.
