Duties
- Preparing surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and filling imperfections before painting or decorating
- Applying paints, varnishes, wallpapers, and other finishes with precision and care
- Mixing colours and matching shades to meet client specifications
- Ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety
- Managing tools and materials efficiently, maintaining a clean work environment
- Communicating effectively with clients and team members regarding project progress and requirements
- Adhering to health and safety regulations at all times during work activities
Skills
- Proven experience in construction painting and decorating techniques
- Strong knowledge of different types of paints, finishes, and decorating materials
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Good organisational skills with the ability to plan tasks effectively
- Valid driving licence is desirable for travelling between sites
- Ability to interpret technical drawings or instructions is advantageous
- Reliable with good attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship
- Be able stay away at times
