Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and carpentry techniques.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and mechanical diagrams to execute precise installations.
- Conduct inspections of plumbing systems to identify issues and determine appropriate solutions.
- Perform heavy lifting of pipes, fixtures, and equipment safely while following proper safety protocols.
- Use basic math skills to measure, cut, assemble, and fit pipes and fixtures accurately.
- Assist with the assembly of plumbing components in both new construction and renovation projects.
- Operate commercial vehicles for transporting materials or equipment to job sites as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot mechanical problems and implement effective repairs promptly.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and safety inspections.
Qualifications
- Proven experience with plumbing installation, repair, and maintenance in commercial or residential settings.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and carpentry techniques.
- Mechanical knowledge of plumbing systems including piping, fixtures, valves, and pumps.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to safety standards.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations essential for precise work.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience with commercial driving preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues effectively.
- Knowledge of assembly processes related to plumbing components is a plus.
