Dental Receptionist Elvetham Dental Care
Elvetham Dental Care is looking for an experienced Dental Receptionist to join our friendly, family-owned practice on a full-time basis.
We are a mixed NHS and Private practice and pride ourselves on delivering outstanding customer service and high-quality patient care. This is an important role within the practice, working closely with the reception team, Head Receptionist and Practice Manager to help ensure the smooth and efficient day-to-day running of the practice.
We are looking for someone who is organised, proactive, personable and confident working within a busy dental environment.
About the Role
As Dental Receptionist, you will play a key role in maintaining excellent patient care and supporting the daily operations of the practice.
This role includes reception duties, diary management, administration, patient communication and helping resolve day-to-day operational issues within the practice. You will work closely with both the reception and clinical teams to help ensure the practice runs efficiently each day.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional customer service and patient care
- Full diary management for clinicians
- Manage patient bookings, cancellations and recalls
- Answer telephone and email enquiries professionally and efficiently
- Ensure treatment plans, consent forms and finance paperwork are completed correctly
- Assist with reducing failed appointments and bad debt
- Carry out opening and closing procedures
- Complete end-of-day cashing up and administration tasks
- Support reception audits and administration processes
- Help maintain smooth day-to-day reception operations
- Assist with troubleshooting general operational issues including phone systems, WiFi/server issues and maintenance concerns
- Liaise with external companies regarding repairs or service issues when required
- Maintain strong communication with clinical and reception teams
- Support the Head Receptionist and Practice Manager with general administration and practice organisation
- Ensure compliance with practice policies and procedures
About You
- Previous/current experience as a Dental Receptionist is essential
- Experience using SOE/Exact is preferred
- Experience with Clinipad is beneficial but not essential as training will be provided
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Outlook
- Calm and professional within a fast-paced environment
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Confident using initiative and problem-solving independently
- Positive, reliable and team-focused with a strong work ethic
- Professional and well presented

Working Hours
Monday: 7:45am – 6:15pm
Tuesday – Thursday: 7:45am – 5:15pm/2pm
(2 Fridays per month, finish at 2pm)
1 Saturday per month: 7:45am – 1:15pm
