Job Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic and responsible Matchday Spectator Safety Staff (Stewards) to ensure the safety and security of attendees during various events. This role involves managing crowd control, providing excellent customer service, and supporting event operations to create a safe and enjoyable experience for all guests. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, organizational abilities, and a professional demeanor to handle diverse situations effectively.
Duties
As a Matchday Steward, you'll play a key part in delivering a safe and enjoyable experience for all visitors. Your responsibilities will include:
- Crowd Management: Supporting the safe movement of fans before, during, and after the match
- Customer Service: Helping attendees with directions, information, and general assistance
- Ticket Checks: Ensuring only valid ticket holders gain access to designated areas
- Safety Support: Keeping walkways clear, reporting concerns, and helping in emergency situations
- Conflict Resolution: Managing queues and assisting in maintaining a calm environment
What You’ll Need
- No previous stewarding experience or qualifications required
- A friendly, helpful attitude and great communication skills
- Willingness to work weekends, evenings, and midweek games
- Reliability and the ability to stay calm under pressure
- A commitment to delivering excellent customer service
