Vacancy: Commercial & Residential Conveyancing Assistant - Hyde Office
We are looking for an experienced Conveyancing Assistant to join our Conveyancing Team to assist with the day-to-day running of our Conveyancing Department at Booth Ince & Knowles in Hyde.
You will provide Conveyancing Assistance to a Fee Earner along with general all round office assistance
Requirements: Previous residential and commercial property experience required but training for all in-house office procedures will be provided
Conveyancing Assistant/Secretarial Duties
· Sharing the responsibility of taking all initial Fee Earner calls from reception and dealing with the same as far as possible
· Providing conveyancing quotations,
· Dealing with all client initial documentation received back in to the office and completing all relevant Checklists to comply with all Regulatory requirements to include carrying out ID and Source of Funds checks
· Preparing initial standard letters out to various parties ie Solicitors, Estate Agents, Brokers etc
· Dealing with H M Land Registry portal to obtain copy title documents and having complete knowledge of the content
· Preparing and issuing sale Contracts with knowledge of what to enclose
· Obtaining redemption statements where necessary
· Dealing with enquiries received on a sale – knowing what to deal with yourself and what needs to be sent to the client
· Dealing with all purchase transaction completion requirements ie making applications to H M Land Registry within the strict timeframes.
· Dealing with all Requisitions received in relation to applications made within the strict timeframes
General Office Duties
· Attending upon “drop in” clients as and when needed
· Assisting all other secretarial staff in the Branch in answering overflow calls from reception and transferring to the relevant person

Hard working professional who is friendly, approachable and a team player, with the ability to build great relationships with clients and other members of the legal profession and selling agents/lenders etc.
Hours: Full time 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday - Hours per week 35
