Overview
We are seeking a skilled CAD Draughtsman/woman to join our dynamic design team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating precise technical drawings and schematics for construction and civil engineering projects. Duties
- Develop detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings using software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, MicroStation, SketchUp, NavisWorks, and SolidWorks.
- Prepare schematics and technical documentation for construction projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and construction teams to interpret project requirements and translate them into accurate drawings.
- Review and modify existing plans based on project updates or client feedback.
- Assist in the coordination of design models across multiple disciplines using NavisWorks or similar tools.
- Maintain organised digital files of all drawings and schematics in accordance with company procedures.
- Support project teams during the construction phase by providing technical drawing assistance as required.
Skills
- Proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, MicroStation, SketchUp, NavisWorks, and SolidWorks.
- Strong understanding of construction processes and civil engineering principles.
- Ability to interpret technical schematics and architectural plans accurately.
- Experience in creating detailed schematics for infrastructure or building projects.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure precision in all drawings.
- Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to civil engineering and construction drawings is desirable.
