Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Gardening Assistant to support our landscape maintenance team. Duties
- Assist with planting, pruning, watering, and fertilising plants and shrubs using hand tools and irrigation systems
- Operate power tools such as lawnmowers, hedge trimmers, and leaf blowers to maintain landscape areas
- Support with soil preparation, mulching, and weed control to promote healthy plant growth
- Conduct routine landscape maintenance tasks including edging, mowing, and debris removal
Qualifications
- Previous experience in gardening or horticulture is desirable but not essential; a keen interest in gardening is required
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools is advantageous
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- A responsible attitude towards safety when handling gardening equipment
- No formal qualifications are necessary; enthusiasm for gardening and willingness to learn are key qualities
