Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Part Time, Term Time Pre-School Practitioner to join our vibrant early childhood education team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their developmental needs through engaging activities and personalised care. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise management and leadership skills whilst working closely with children to foster their early learning experiences.
Responsibilities
- Working hours would be between 08:30 - 15:30 Monday to Friday during term time. We need someone who is very flexible with working hours.
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate educational activities that promote social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
- Supervise and support children during play, learning sessions, and meal times to ensure safety and well-being.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication.
- Monitor & record daily progress/activities in their individual journals and provide feedback to parents during meetings or written reports.
- Support the implementation of nursery policies and procedures in line with regulatory standards.
- Assist with daily set up and pack away along with all administrative tasks assigned to you by rota and manager
- Contribute to team meetings and ongoing professional development activities.
Qualifications
- Childcare qualifications Level 3 Early Years Educator or equivalent is a must
- Recent minimum 2 years expereince is essential
- Proven experience working with children in a nursery or early childhood setting.
- Strong management and leadership skills with the ability to motivate young learners and team members.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childcare regulations.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- A caring attitude with patience, creativity, and organisational abilities.
