Job Overview
The successful applicant will work within a small team of on-site mobile Plant Technicians to ensure that deadlines are met and work is carried out to a high standard. They will work with the Senior Technician following daily work flows and job priorities which are scheduled by the workshop administrator.
Duties
- Carry out routine inspections, maintenance, repairs and MOT's on HGV's trailers, pool cars and other plant to VOSA standard
- Diagnose and rectify all types of mechanical and electrical faults using Texa diagnostic equipment
- Dismantle, repair/replace fault components and test the new ones are working safely
- Ensure all relevant documentation is completed and accurate records are maintained
- Good communication and maintain a clean, safe and organised work area
Experience
- 4+ years of HGV and Plant Technician experience
- Apprentice trained and qualified to C&G or NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Goods Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent
- Holds valid HGV Class 1 (C&E) Licence (Desirable)
- MOT Preparation Experience - Tractor units and Trailers
- Previous experience working with HGV's, Plant, basic welding skills, hydraulic and auto electrical skills
- Hard working and can work well under pressure in a safe and responsible manner
- IRTEC Accreditation (Desirable)
- Loler Competence - Experience in undertaking Loler inspections - LEEA Certificate
Pay: £49,400.00-£54,340.00 per year
