MEDICINES COUNTER ASSISTANT JOB DESCRIPTION
As a Medicines Counter Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy. Your primary responsibility will be to assist customers with their medicinal needs, providing them with accurate information and exemplary service.
You’ll work closely with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals. This collaboration ensures that patients receive the correct medications and advice. Furthermore, you’ll manage stock levels, restock shelves, and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greet customers warmly and assist with enquiries.
- Provide information on over-the-counter medications.
- Handle cash transactions and maintain financial records.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Support the pharmacy team in managing stock.
- Participate in ongoing training and development programs.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Previous experience in pharmacy is essential.
- Medicine Counter qualification is essential.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
