Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Hotel Assistant Manager to join our esteemed hospitality team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of the hotel, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and leading a team of staff members. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for hospitality, leadership, and guest services to develop their careers within an independent hotel environment. With strong cusotmer service skills, you'll be the host and face of the hotel and ensure guests have an enjoyable stay.
Responsibilities
- Assist in overseeing the daily operations of the hotel to ensure smooth functioning across all departments.
- Support the management team in supervising staff, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
- Provide exceptional guest services by addressing guest enquiries, resolving complaints promptly, and ensuring overall satisfaction.
- Coordinate with human resources on recruitment, onboarding, and staff development initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and hotel policies at all times.
- Contribute to marketing efforts by promoting hotel facilities and services to maximise occupancy rates.
- Assist in managing reservations, billing, and administrative tasks to optimise operational efficiency.
- Foster a positive work environment through effective leadership and team collaboration.
- Bring a wealth of experience from the sector to help us futher grow and develop.
- A can-do attitude and willingness to 'jump on' any task within the business, from housekeeping to reception and bar.
Qualifications
- Must have proven supervisory experience within the accommodation industry.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Excellent guest service skills with a professional demeanour.
- Knowledge of human resources practices relevant to hospitality settings.
- Exceptional organisational skills with attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
- Flexibility to work various shifts as required by hotel operations.

The role requires 5 shifts of either 8am - 4pm or 12 pm til 8 pm (approx) as required, with Wednesday and Thursdays off. Includes weekend working.
Pay: £31,000.00-£32,500.00 per year
