General Manager – Bond Norwich
Salary: £45,000 per annum
Bond Norwich is seeking a highly motivated, ambitious, and career-driven General Manager to lead one of Norfolk's most prestigious hospitality venues.
Established for over 10 years, Bond has built a reputation as one of Norwich's premier destinations for cocktails, dining, and entertainment. Inspired by some of the world's most glamorous venues, Bond attracts a stylish, sophisticated clientele and offers a truly unique experience across two distinct floors.
The venue features an elegant cocktail bar and courtyard garden on the upper floor, while downstairs boasts Norwich's only dedicated Whisky & Rum Room, showcasing premium spirits and cigars. Complementing the drinks offering is a fully operational kitchen serving everything from light bites to substantial meals throughout the day.

The Role
As General Manager, you will lead and inspire a large team across all areas of the business, ensuring operational excellence, commercial success, and exceptional customer service standards. You will be responsible for driving performance, profitability, and team engagement while maintaining Bond's reputation as one of the region's leading hospitality venues.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and develop Supervisors, Bar Managers, and wider venue teams to deliver exceptional service standards.
- Drive a positive, high-performance culture that encourages teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure operational excellence across all areas of the business, consistently exceeding guest expectations.
- Work closely with Front of House and Kitchen teams to maintain strong communication and collaboration.
- Manage revenue, profit margins, and operating costs in line with budgets and forecasts.
- Develop and implement pricing strategies, promotions, and events to maximise revenue opportunities.
- Oversee beverage stock management, stocktakes, and cost control procedures.
- Monitor payroll, purchasing, and operational expenditure to ensure profitability targets are achieved.
- Collaborate with the Marketing team to maximise bookings, reservations, website content, and customer engagement.
- Manage venue improvement projects, refurbishments, and investments where required.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, licensing requirements, and health & safety standards.
- Deliver an exceptional customer experience that encourages repeat business and strengthens Bond's reputation.
About You
The successful candidate will:
- Have a minimum of two years' verifiable experience as a Bar Manager, Restaurant Manager, or General Manager.
- Demonstrate strong commercial awareness and a proven ability to drive revenue and profitability.
- Possess outstanding leadership skills with the ability to motivate, develop, and retain high-performing teams.
- Be passionate about hospitality and committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences.
- Have excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Be hands-on, visible, and actively involved in daily operations.
- Be available to work key trading periods, including evenings and weekends.
