Job Overview
We are seeking to hire compassionate and reliable Night Carers. The successful candidate will provide overnight support and care for residents in a care home setting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety, comfort, and wellbeing of residents during the night hours. Duties
- Monitor residents throughout the night to ensure their safety and wellbeing
- Assist residents with personal care needs as required, respecting their dignity and privacy
- Follow individual care plans to deliver tailored support to each resident
- Respond promptly and effectively to any emergencies or unusual situations
- Document observations, incidents, and care provided accurately in accordance with company procedures
- Support residents in maintaining a comfortable environment, including adjusting lighting and bedding as needed
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding residents’ conditions and any concerns that arise during the night
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation within designated areas to uphold hygiene standards
- Assist with light domestic tasks such as tidying communal areas or helping with basic laundry
Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a care home or home care setting is preferable
- Good command of English, both written and spoken, to ensure clear communication with residents and team members
- Basic IT skills for record keeping and documentation purposes
- Excellent communication skills with a caring, empathetic approach towards residents
- Ability to work independently during night shifts while maintaining high standards of care
- Reliable, organised, and able to respond calmly in emergency situations
