Nick Brookes Recycling is based in Wardle, Cheshire and we are currently looking to recruit a hard-working and enthusiastic professional HGV driver to support our Skip Division.
Outline of role
- Ability to work safely;
- Ability to interact with customers & the general public;
- A detailed understanding of Drivers Hours & the Working Time Directive, traffic laws & regulations;
- Be able to conduct mandatory pre use, during and post checks & report any defects as applicable;
- Adhere to delivery schedule whilst adhering to a high level of professionalism & customer service;
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and ensuring vehicles are kept roadworthy in accordance with both statutory requirements, company policy & procedures;
- Completing necessary paperwork/documentation accurately using a PDA (personal digital assistant) system for job completion;
- Adhere to company Transport Management Procedures;
Working Hours /Schedule
Monday – Friday and every other Saturday – Usual start time is between 0600 – 0700 (Hours maybe subject to change based on work commitments).
Salary
£16.27 an hour for the 1st 40 hours
£18.77 per hour over time rate paid over 40 hours (including Saturdays and Bank Holidays)

Licence/Certification
