Motorflog Ltd is a busy and growing online vehicle auction business based in Doncaster. We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Auction Vehicle Valeter to join our team.
The main focus of this role is cleaning and preparing vehicles ready to be photographed and listed in our online auctions.
This is a hands-on, outdoor role working within our vehicle auction yard. You don't need professional valeting experience, but you do need to be comfortable working around vehicles, take pride in your work and be able to work at a good pace.
The Role
Your day-to-day duties will include:
- Cleaning and preparing vehicles ready for auction
- Washing vehicle exteriors using pressure washing and cleaning equipment
- Cleaning vehicle interiors and removing rubbish/debris
- Making vehicles presentable ready for auction photographs
- Moving and organising vehicles around the auction site
- Checking vehicles are correctly positioned and ready for photography
- Assisting with vehicles arriving at and leaving the site
- Keeping the vehicle preparation and yard areas clean and organised
- Carrying out basic vehicle checks where required
- Assisting the wider auction team with general yard duties
The vehicles we sell vary considerably in age and condition, so this isn't traditional showroom valeting. The aim is to efficiently clean and present each vehicle as well as possible before it goes into auction.

We're looking for someone who:
- Is reliable, punctual and hardworking
- Is happy working outdoors throughout the year
- Is comfortable working in a busy vehicle yard
- Can work efficiently without compromising standards
- Has good attention to detail
- Is able to work independently and as part of a team
- Has an interest in or basic knowledge of vehicles
- Is physically capable of carrying out a hands-on role
Previous experience in vehicle preparation, valeting, car washing, automotive, auction or yard work would be useful, but isn't essential.
A full UK driving licence is required due to moving vehicles around the site.
