Responsibilities
- Perform detailed cleaning, sterilisation, and packaging of dental instruments and equipment according to established protocols
- Ensure all decontamination processes comply with health and safety regulations and infection control standards
- Maintain accurate records of sterilisation cycles, equipment maintenance, and inventory levels
- Collaborate closely with clinical staff to facilitate the timely availability of sterile instruments for procedures
- Monitor and report any equipment malfunctions or deviations from standard procedures promptly
- Follow strict hygiene practices to prevent cross-contamination and ensure a sterile environment
- Assist in training new team members on decontamination procedures and best practices
Requirements
- Strong understanding of sterilisation techniques, infection control standards, and decontamination protocols
- Excellent communication skills in English to effectively coordinate with healthcare teams
- Proficiency in IT systems used for record keeping, inventory management, and reporting purposes
- Exceptional organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently within tight schedules
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks safely
- Relevant certifications in nursing or healthcare are preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
