Pay: £12.71 per hour, with Enhanced Weekend Rates
We are a family-run commercial laundry business looking for a reliable and physically fit relief cover driver to join our team. We're looking for a reliable and flexible cover driver to join our team on a zero-hours contract, providing cover for holidays, sickness and busy periods. You’ll be responsible for driving a 3.5-tonne tail lift van, covering deliveries and collections. Weekend work is available at premium rates.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for flexible work with no guaranteed hours, although additional shifts are often available.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a 3.5-tonne van with a tail lift.
- Complete all assigned delivery and collection routes each day.
- Handle cage and handball work (loading and unloading laundry).
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain professionalism.
Requirements:
- A clean driving license.
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a positive attitude.
- Availability for weekend shifts when required (enhanced rate)
- Previous driving experience is an advantage, but full training is provided.
This is a physical role involving manual handling, excellent customer service and representing our family business professionally.
What We Offer:

- Saturday: £18.01
- Sunday: £24.02
