Role Overview
A leading commercial vehicle workshop in Blackburn is seeking an experienced HGV Trailer Technician to join their growing team. This is a Monday–Friday day shift offering excellent stability, strong earning potential and long‑term career development.
You will work across a mixed fleet of HGV trailers, carrying out servicing, repairs, inspections and MOT preparation to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Trailer servicing, inspections and defect rectification
- Brake relines, drums, hubs, bearings and chambers
- Air system diagnostics including valves, modulators and air leaks
- EBS/ABS diagnostics and sensor replacement
- Electrical repairs including suzie lines, lighting faults and wiring
- Bodywork repairs including floors, doors, frames and panels
- MOT preparation and compliance checks
- Accurate completion of job cards and maintenance records
Requirements
- Experience as an HGV Trailer Technician, Trailer Mechanic or similar
- Strong mechanical and diagnostic background
- Confident working on brakes, hubs, air systems and electrical faults
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Full UK driving licence preferred
