We are seeking a experienced dynamic and detail-oriented Internal Sales Estimator to join our industrial print manufacturing team. In this vital role, you will serve as the bridge between our technical production capabilities and customer needs, providing accurate cost estimates and fostering strong customer relationships. Key Responsibilities:
- In this role, you will support profitable sales growth by preparing accurate estimates and quotations aligned with our product, manufacturing, and strategic objectives.
- Provide technical support and expert advice on the most suitable print product, substrate, and manufacturing process for each application, drawing on strong knowledge of industrial printing processes.
- Prepare and provide detailed and accurate quotations to meet customers’ requirements.
- Follow up all live quotations in the CRM and works systems, following SLA’S set.
- Daily analysis of Quote Conversion with key aim to increase conversion percentage.
- Assist customers with technical queries.
- Working proactively with the Business Development Manager.
- Proactively identify new business opportunities within existing customer base; identify expansion opportunities.
- Electronic filing of all information relevant to quotations thus enabling others to process sales orders & produce manufacturing specifications.
- Communication and involvement with other team members to achieve company goals.
- Contribution towards building and maintaining a constant and future revenue pipeline.
- Create strong business relationships with existing customers and partners, working closely with the rest of the team.
- You will process quotes – creating/amending job specifications and assist with designs.
- Liaising with internal stakeholders for delivery schedules.
- Providing support to production to ensure products are manufactured to appropriate standards and in the most cost-effective manner.
- Deliver outstanding quality of service; continuously drive-up standards; establish & maintain; challenge the status quo; drive excellence; drive growth; be the best.
- Ensure we are always putting our best foot forward and quoting exactly what is required.
- Keep knowledge up to date in the Data CRM system.
- Exceed quarterly and annual conversion sales targets, maximise revenue.
- Maintenance of the sample bank, with other colleagues.
- Participation in Meetings at the request of Manager and MD.
- Any other reasonable request made by Management.
What we are looking for:
- Demonstrable experience in a technical sales or estimating role within industrial print manufacturing is essential.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-pressured environment, with the ability to balance multiple workstreams, ensuring smooth efficiency and strong output is achieved.
- Experience working with customers in a technical, manufacturing, or print-related environment is highly desirable.
- Ability to understand customer briefs, ask the right technical questions, and convert requirements into clear manufacturing specifications will be highly valued.
- Demonstrable effective communication, with the ability to listen and offer sound feedback.
- A proven background in driving sales growth, maximising sales, and profitability.
- Ability to act proactively whilst maintaining a methodical, attention to detail approach to ensure all information is accurate and up to date.
- Knowledge of data analysis on Microsoft Packages such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Corel Draw, Solid Works and HubSpot.
- Strong working knowledge of printing processes, production methods, substrates, and manufacturing specifications and / or a relevant technical or engineering qualification would be advantageous.
