ROLE EXPECTATIONS
You will run a seamless, secure and friendly post room, handling high volumes of parcels and mail with accuracy and pace. You’ll be the welcoming face for residents, coordinating deliveries and collections, maintaining meticulous records and keeping the post room organised, safe and efficient.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
- Every parcel is logged, stored and handed over accurately, with full audit trails and zero losses.
- Residents feel recognised and valued, receiving proactive updates and swift, friendly service.
- The post room is immaculate, well-signed and safety compliant at all times.
- Peak delivery periods are planned and managed without backlogs or bottlenecks.
- Couriers and contractors are coordinated smoothly, with minimal disruption to the development.
- Issues are spotted early and resolved promptly, with clear communication and escalation when needed.
HOW YOU'LL SPEND MOST OF YOUR TIME
- Logging incoming parcels and mail using the site’s parcel management systems.
- Verifying resident identity and completing secure handovers for collections.
- Organising shelves and storage to maximise space and maintain clear order.
- Coordinating courier drop-offs and pick-ups, including oversized or special items.
- Keeping accurate records, reports and handovers for the wider on-site team.
- Maintaining cleanliness, signage and safety checks within the post room.

EXPERIENCE THAT HELPS
- Experience in a post room, concierge, retail stockroom or logistics environment.
- Using parcel or inventory systems, handheld scanners and basic MS Office.
- Customer service experience in residential, hospitality or front-of-house settings.
- Familiarity with safe manual handling and working in line with H&S procedures.
- Managing busy periods and prioritising tasks to meet service standards.
