Plasterer Craft 2 (Facilities Management and Building Services)

Location: Floor Allington Way Depot, DL1 4QB, Darlington
Work Pattern: Monday – Friday, 08:00 – 16:00
We're recruiting a Plasterer to support the Council's Facilities Management and Building Services team. This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone skilled, reliable, and confident working across varied sites within the borough.
About the Role
As a Plasterer, you'll carry out plastering and related building services tasks across council properties, ensuring high-quality workmanship and safe practices.
What you'll be doing:
- Completing plastering tasks across council sites within Darlington
- Using a mobile PDA to receive and manage daily work assignments
- Driving a council-provided van, returned to depot each day
- Working independently to deliver high-quality finishes
- Supporting the wider Facilities Management team with building services tasks
What We're Looking For
We're seeking someone practical, dependable, and able to work to high standards.
You'll ideally have:
- Previous experience as a plasterer or in building services
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently and manage daily tasks via PDA
- Good communication skills and a professional approach
- Willingness to adhere to safety requirements and dress code (Hi Viz Jacket and Safety Shoes)
