About the Role
Helix Technical is looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our growing team based in Canary Wharf, London.
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out site surveys, preparing estimates, pricing works and producing quotations for a wide range of projects. These include, but are not limited to, electrical, mechanical, building fabric, ventilation and security systems works.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Quantity Surveyor with a strong construction background to join a dynamic and expanding business.
Pay
£40,000 – £50,000 per annum, depending on experience.
Working Pattern
- Typically 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.
- Flexibility is required to meet client requirements.
- Hybrid working, with a combination of office-based, remote and site visits depending on project and client needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out site surveys and assess project requirements.
- Prepare accurate cost estimates, pricing and quotations.
- Liaise with clients, suppliers and subcontractors.
- Evaluate project costs and identify cost-effective solutions.
- Support project delivery from tender stage through to completion.
- Prepare reports and maintain accurate project documentation.
- Work closely with operational teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Requirements
- 5–10 years' experience within the construction industry in a Quantity Surveyor or similar role.
- A strong understanding of construction estimating and cost management.
- Preferably a background in a mechanical discipline, such as gas, plumbing, air conditioning or refrigeration.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work to tight deadlines.
