We are looking for a Foundry Operative, initially for 3 months to cover absence in our busy jobbing foundry.
This is initially a 3 month temp post, but has the potential to be made permanent for the right person. As this is a manual role, it requires the role holder to be physically able to manage and move heavy loads. Duties would be various, but will cover the following ; Making Moulds/Cores , knocking out castings, moving sand, keeping areas clean and tidy and also fettling castings in the Finishing Department where the need arises. They will also assist other team members in other duties within the Foundry. Previous labouring and/or manual experience would be advantageous.
Good knowledge of Health & Safety in a manufacturing environment is required.
PPE is required to be worn on site at all times, and is provided by the Company.
You must be available for work for the following hours
Hours - Monday to Friday (39 Hours Mon - Thurs 0700 - 1600, Fri 0700 - 1200)
Overtime may be available where the business requires it
Fork Truck licence would be preferable but not essential
Pay ranges from £12.80 (Unskilled)- £14.00 (Skilled) pr hour dependant on experience.
