Do you love working with children and have a passion for hairdressing? We’re looking for a friendly, patient and confident SENIOR stylist to join our busy, fun salon! At ShortCuts Kids Salon, we specialise in making haircuts a positive experience for children of all ages from first haircuts to teens.
Duties
- Provide high-quality haircuts and styling for children of all ages and genders
- Deliver a calm, friendly, and positive experience for every child and parent
- Build trust with nervous or first-time clients
- Communicate clearly and professionally with parents/guardians
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe workstation at all times
- Follow salon policies, including hygiene and health & safety procedures
- Manage time effectively to keep appointments running smoothly
- Support the team during busy periods and work collaboratively
- Assist with general salon duties (sweeping, cleaning, preparing stations)
- Handle bookings (Get timely system), basic payments, and client queries where required
- Adapt your approach to suit each child’s individual needs (including SEND clients)
- Promote a welcoming and inclusive environment for all families
Skills
- Qualified hairdresser (Level 2 minimum preferred)
- Experience with children is a big bonus (but not essential)
- Friendly, patient, confident and approachable personality
- Ability to work in a busy salon environment
- Strong communication and customer service skills
Must be available to work - (in week afternoons) FRIDAY 9am - 6pm & SATURDAY 9am - 5pm (occasionally Sunday)
Pay: £12.75-£13.00 per hour
