Job: Martin's Tuition Academy is now recruiting Part-Time Classroom Assistants to join their current team of 14 tutors. We are looking for enthusiastic and reliable assistants to work with our students who range from Year 2 to GCSE. Classes are held on Saturdays and Wednesday evenings, including school holidays. Hours may increase shortly. Candidates may choose the time and date that they want.
As a Class Assistant, your role will involve:
- To help set up and clear away space before and after class
- Help in English, Mathematics and 11+ subjects
- To accurately mark and record students’ work and complete reporting methods
- To check homework sheets
- To supervise specific student activities e.g. listening to and assessing reading
Key skills and experience required for this role are:
- Minimum of grade 7 achieved in GCSE Maths and English. We may be able to consider grade 6 for one subject.
- An ability to develop a professional and caring relationship with children of all ages.
- A passion for education and the development of children.
- Be able to work as part of a team
- To be punctual and regular in each class
