The Opportunity:
Peter Green Chilled is looking for a reliable and hard-working Yard Operative / Warehouse Cleaner to join our friendly team in Evercreech.
This is a stable, full-time permanent role working within a modern chilled warehouse environment, where temperatures can be up to a maximum of 3°C. Full PPE is provided, along with full training and ongoing support.
You’ll play an important role in keeping our warehouse and yard areas clean, safe, tidy and well organised, supporting high standards across the site.
What you’ll be doing:
You’ll be responsible for general warehouse and yard housekeeping duties, including:
- Keeping warehouse and yard areas clean, tidy and free from avoidable waste.
- Emptying bins and managing waste safely.
- Moving and storing pallets correctly.
- Supporting cleaning schedules and site hygiene standards.
- Washing trailers using onsite facilities.
- Reporting any housekeeping, hygiene or safety issues to the management team.
- Supporting the wider warehouse and yard team as required.
What we’re looking for:
We’re looking for someone who is reliable, practical and takes pride in doing a job properly.
You’ll need to be:
- Reliable, punctual and committed to good attendance.
- Comfortable working in a chilled warehouse environment.
- Positive, proactive and willing to get stuck in.
- Able to follow instructions and complete basic records.
- A good team player, with the ability to work on your own initiative.
- Safety-conscious and aware of the importance of hygiene and housekeeping standards.
Previous experience in a warehouse, yard, cleaning or industrial environment would be helpful, but it isn’t essential as full training will be provided.
Pay and benefits:
- £13.15 per hour, plus attendance bonus.
- £100 attendance bonus paid every 4 weeks.
- Equivalent of £13.70 per hour with full attendance bonus.
