Job Type: Full-time (40hrs/wk more available if wanted, regular weekday off and alternate weekends off)
Salary: £27,601.60 - 28,080 /year, 28 days holiday year
Daily shifts: 7:00-16:00
This role will be on our modern laying farm. The Farm provides fertilized hatching eggs to a local hatchery so hygiene and cleanliness on farm is crucial. You will be joining a small established team. Job Progression is available on farm and on other farms part of the company's wider business.
Jobs roles include:
- Egg collection/grading with a automated egg packer
- Helping with feeding of hens with a fully automated feeding system
- Weighing of birds
- Daily visual Health checks of birds
- Alternate weekend work would be required
- Help with minor Farm maintenance
- Following company bio-security procedures
- Following company health and safety policy
The Applicant:
- Does not require any previous poultry experience as on farm and off farm training can be provided, any previous experience would be welcomed and pay would reflect that.
- Should be able to work as part of a team and on your own
- Should be a good communicator
- Should enjoy caring for animals
- Should be clean and tidy
- Should have attention to detail in there work
- Job role progression would be available if wanted
- Should have a full drivers licence
