We are looking for flexible, reliable staff to join our team at Torr Home. This is a varied role covering care support, kitchen assistance, and domestic duties.
Torr Home is one of Plymouth's oldest care establishments, with over 160 years since its formation as a charity from it's home at the highest point of the city. Torr Home delivers high standards of care for residential and nursing residents. Whilst the Glentor Centre and the most newly opened wing, the Bell Torr Unit, offer dementia specialist care.
What You'll be Doing:
Care Support:
- Providing personalized care for residents, ensuring their well-being and comfort.
- Adhering to established policies and procedures within the home.
- Collaborating effectively within a team, especially in a dynamic and busy environment.
- Attending training sessions and participating in refreshers as required.
Kitchen Assistance:
- Assisting with meal preparation and service
- Helping maintain kitchen hygiene and food safety standards
- Washing up and general kitchen cleaning
Domestic Support:
- Cleaning resident rooms and communal areas
- Laundry duties
- Ensuring the home is kept clean, tidy, and welcoming
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Care Assistant.
- Ability to be flexible and available for short-notice shifts.
- Successful completion of a DBS check (paid for by Torr Home).
- Provision of 2 satisfactory references.
