Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a range of high-quality hot and cold beverages, including specialty coffees, teas, and other café drinks.
- Operate a commercial espresso machine and coffee grinder to produce consistently excellent coffee.
- Steam and texture milk to a high standard for a variety of coffee beverages.
- Maintain exceptional cleanliness and organisation of the coffee station, equipment, and surrounding work areas.
- Prepare and restock milk, syrups, coffee beans, cups, lids, and other supplies throughout the day.
- Bake and prepare cakes, cookies and other café items as required.
- Ensure all baked goods are presented attractively and replenished throughout service.
- Wash and sanitise coffee equipment, utensils, crockery, and workstations.
- Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management and stock rotation (FIFO).
- Complete opening and closing procedures, including cleaning, restocking, and preparing the café for the next shift.
- Deliver exceptional customer service in a friendly and professional manner.
- Adhere to all food hygiene, health & safety, and company procedures.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years' experience working as a Barista is essential.
- Fluent English is Essential
- Must have experience operating a commercial/manual espresso machine (experience with automatic bean-to-cup machines alone is not sufficient).
- Strong knowledge of coffee extraction, grinder calibration, milk steaming, and drink preparation.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality.
- Previous baking experience or confidence in baking cakes, cookies, pastries, and other café items is essential.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- High standards of cleanliness and organisation.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team.
- Latte art skills are desirable but not essential.

Pay: £12.71-£18.30 per hour
