Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and friendly seasonal weekend team member to join us on a zero-hours contract. Shifts will mainly be Saturdays and Sundays, with hours offered based on business demand. Please note that during quieter periods, shifts may be limited or unavailable.
This is a seasonal position due to increased demand during the summer period. The contract will run until the end of October 2026, with the possibility of extension depending on business needs.
Typical Shift, 8:30-16:30
Candidate must be able to work Saturdays and Sundays, preferably available for more if cover is needed due to holiday or sickness.
What we are looking for;
Candidate must have a passion for dogs and ideally animal care related experience /qualifications
You must be able to work under pressure, doing physically demanding work
Good eye for detail with excellent observational skills.
Willing and able to handle large, boisterous dogs and dogs of a nervous disposition.
Hard worker with a positive attitude.
Excellent customer service skills.
Candidate must be able to drive due to semi-rural location and live within reasonable commuting distance.
Pay meets minimum wage, with a paid 1-hour lunch.
Responsibilities and Duties
Cleaning animal accommodation
Providing feed and water to animals
Exercising dogs
Monitoring the health and welfare of dogs
Meeting and greeting owners
Bathing and grooming
Any potential candidate will be welcomed to undertake one day paid trial.
Please provide a current C.V when applying for this position, dog experience in a similar role is preferred, but not essential as full training can be given.
Trial Days would be in August, with start date from September 2026.
