Sale Group is a well-established mechanical contractor specialising in high-quality mechanical installations, HVAC systems, plumbing, and building services solutions across commercial, industrial, and public sector projects.
We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager (or strong Site Manager with project management experience) to join our growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on project professional to lead varied and technically challenging mechanical projects across the South Coast, Berkshire, and Hampshire regions.
Role Overview
As Mechanical Project Manager, you will take full responsibility for the successful delivery of mechanical installation projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple mechanical installation projects including HVAC, plumbing, heating, ventilation & pipework across South Coast, Berkshire, and Hampshire
- Lead full project lifecycle – from planning and procurement through to commissioning and handover
- Oversee project budgets, cost control, forecasting, and financial performance
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure seamless project delivery
- Conduct regular site visits, risk assessments, method statements, and progress reporting
- Ensure full compliance with health & safety regulations, CDM, and quality standards
- Drive continuous improvement and deliver projects efficiently using best practices
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Manager or Site Manager within the mechanical contracting industry
- Strong background in HVAC, plumbing, or MEP installations on commercial, industrial, or public sector projects
- Experience working on projects in the South Coast, Berkshire, or Hampshire areas is highly advantageous
- HNC/HND or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline (preferred)
- Sound commercial awareness with strong budgeting, cost control, and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities
- SMSTS / CSCS / NEBOSH qualifications would be advantageous
