We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our busy culinary team. Duties
- Washing and sanitising dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment efficiently
- Assisting with basic food preparation tasks as directed by chefs or kitchen staff
- Ensuring the cleanliness of work surfaces, floors, and storage areas to meet health and safety standards
- Supporting the organisation of kitchen supplies and stock control
- Assisting with waste disposal and recycling procedures
- Maintaining a tidy and organised work environment at all times
- Supporting the team during busy service periods to ensure smooth operations
Requirements
- Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or hospitality is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
- Knowledge of kitchen hygiene standards and safety procedures is desirable
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Flexibility to work shifts as required, including weekends if necessary
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills within a fast-paced environment
