Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Night Shift Support Worker to join our team, ensuring the safety, comfort, and wellbeing of our residents during overnight hours. This vital role involves providing attentive care, maintaining care plans, and supporting residents through the night with energy and compassion.
Responsibilities
- Monitor residents throughout the night to ensure their safety and comfort.
- Respond promptly to residents’ needs, including assistance with personal care or emergencies.
- Follow detailed care plans to deliver personalized support tailored to each resident’s requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of overnight activities, incidents, and any changes in residents’ conditions.
- Communicate effectively with daytime staff about residents’ status and any overnight developments.
- Support residents in maintaining a peaceful and restful environment during sleeping hours.
- Use IT systems to update care records and document relevant information efficiently.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children or elderly individuals in a care setting is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with residents, colleagues, and families.
- Ability to follow detailed care plans accurately and responsibly.
- Valid driving license is a nice-to-have for supporting residents outside the home if needed.
- Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes.
- Knowledge of childcare or caregiving practices is advantageous but not essential.
