Optical Assistant
Duties:
- Assist optometrists and opticians in providing high-quality eye care services to patients
- Greet and check-in patients, obtain medical history, and update patient records
- Prepare examination rooms and ensure all necessary equipment is sterilized and ready for use
-Dispense Single Vision, Bifocals, & Varifocal Lenses & confident in taking Optical Measurements
- Assist with contact lens & eyewear fittings, adjustments, and instructions for proper care
- Educate patients on eyewear options, including frames and lenses, and assist with frame selection
- Process orders for eyeglasses and contact lenses, including verifying prescriptions and ensuring accurate measurements
- Perform basic repairs and adjustments on eyeglasses
- Keeping all Patients database up to date
- General Cleaning, keeping work premises clean & Tidy
- To be flexible to Cover other Staff Members Holidays.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in optical retail (further training will be provided)
- Familiarity with laboratory procedures for lens fabrication is a plus (further training will be provided)
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
