We are looking for a friendly and reliable Front of House Team Member / Barista to join the team at Maple Leaf Café, located within Canada Fields Caravan Park. The role involves welcoming customers, preparing drinks, serving food, and ensuring every guest receives excellent service in a relaxed café environment.
You will be the face of the café, helping create a welcoming atmosphere for holidaymakers, visitors, and local customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome customers and provide friendly, efficient service
- Prepare and serve hot drinks including coffee, tea, and specialty beverages
- Take food and drink orders and operate the till/POS system
- Serve food and drinks to tables or takeaway customers
- Keep the café and seating areas clean and tidy
- Assist with clearing tables and washing up where required
- Handle cash and card payments accurately
- Follow food hygiene, allergen, and health & safety procedures
- Help restock supplies and maintain displays
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, or café work preferred
- Barista experience is an advantage but training can be provided
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable using a till or POS system
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Basic understanding of food hygiene and allergen awareness
