We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented person to join our warehouse team. The core of this role is picking and packing customer orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring all orders for the day are completed and dispatched on time. You will be working with our custom Beckdale WMS software and handheld devices to locate, pick, and process goods, as well as third-party courier systems for shipping.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Picking and packing B2B and B2C orders accurately using handheld devices and the Beckdale WMS system
- Ensuring all daily picking and packing is completed in a timely manner to meet dispatch deadlines
- Managing stock for assigned clients, including regular inventory checks and stock updates
- Loading and unloading goods at carton level, with occasional forklift use if trained
- Using computers and courier software to process shipments and generate labels
- Maintaining organised and tidy picking and storage areas
- Flagging stock discrepancies, order issues, or client queries to management
- Where appropriate, responding to client queries directly via email or phone
What We’re Looking ForEssential
- Good numeracy skills – you need to be confident with numbers and able to count accurately
- A strong grasp of written and spoken English in order to understand instructions, read order details, and communicate clearly
- Comfortable using computers, handheld devices, and learning new software systems
- Attention to detail – picking the wrong item or quantity has a real impact on our clients
- Physically fit and able to lift cases and boxes up to approximately 20–25kg
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently once trained
- A proactive attitude – if the picking is done, you look for what needs doing next
Desirable (But Not Required)
- Previous experience in a warehouse, fulfilment, or logistics environment
- Forklift experience (not essential – training can be provided)
- Experience with warehouse management systems or courier software
- Confidence dealing with clients by email or phone
