Representing The Cotswold Company and performing a variety of customer service tasks, we're looking for a brilliant Showroom Sales Advisor who can build genuine relationships with customers and help them find pieces they'll love for years to come. Working 6 hours per week, you'll be available for weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis.
You'll be responsible for connecting with our customers, using your natural ability to understand and interpret their individual preferences and needs, and guiding them to the furnishings they'll enjoy for many years. You'll bring transferable retail customer service skills; it would be wonderful if you've worked in the UK furniture and homewares market, and you'll be engaging and genuinely passionate about our brand, our products, and the service we provide.
Our Sales Advisors bring energy, are self-motivated, and have great communication skills and a real interest in talking to our customers. You'll have a professional yet personable manner, and be able to excel working towards your own objectives as well as part of our warm and ambitious team to meet collective showroom targets.
Main responsibilities will include:
- Providing a friendly, helpful and personalised customer experience by being knowledgeable about our products and genuinely interested in furnishings
- Driving profitable sales through strong product knowledge and thoughtful, natural selling
- Delivering and exceeding agreed targets and KPIs
- Spotting opportunities to cross-sell and upsell in a way that feels helpful, never pushy
- Ensuring the showroom is merchandised in line with the agreed layout plan and always presented beautifully, including cleaning when needed
- Setting up and ending sales promotions and displays within defined timeframes
- Maintaining the stockroom
Someone who:
- Loves talking to our customers and has a genuine interest in people
- Has a real interest in furnishing and design, and enjoys helping customers picture what's possible in their own homes
- Is energetic, self-motivated and takes pride in doing things properly
- Has a real drive to hit and exceed targets, with proven sales experience
- Brings exceptional customer service skills gained in a previous customer-facing role
- Communicates clearly and warmly, both verbally and in writing
- Handles challenging situations calmly and appropriately
- Is approachable, and works with kindness and understanding of other people's needs
- Has a positive, can-do approach and is authentic in everything they do
