Job Summary
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Warehouse / Yard Operative to join our team. This is a hands-on role involving the safe handling, storage, and movement of goods within our warehouse and yard. The successful candidate will play an important part in ensuring orders are prepared accurately, stock is well organised, and the yard is maintained to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and unload deliveries.
- Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for collection or dispatch.
- Load and unload vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Organise and maintain warehouse and yard stock.
- Carry out regular stock checks and report any discrepancies.
- Keep the warehouse and yard clean, tidy, and safe at all times.
- Operate warehouse equipment and machinery safely (training provided where required).
- Assist customers collecting goods in a professional and friendly manner.
- Follow all company health and safety procedures.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous warehouse or yard experience (preferred but not essential).
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- A flexible approach to work and willingness to undertake a variety of tasks.
