Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Agency Care Assistant to provide high-quality support to individuals within care homes and home care settings.
The successful candidate will play a vital role in assisting clients with daily activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and wellbeing. This role offers flexible working arrangements and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives.
Duties
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming in accordance with care plans
- Support clients with mobility and daily activities to promote independence
- Administer medication and health monitoring as instructed by healthcare professionals
- Maintain accurate records of care provided using IT systems
- Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and healthcare teams to ensure personalised care delivery
- Drive between different care settings or client homes as required, ensuring timely attendance
- Follow health and safety protocols to safeguard both clients and yourself
- Contribute to the development and review of individualised care plans in collaboration with the care team
Qualifications
- Previous experience working within a care home or home care environment is essential.
- Valid driving licence and the ability to drive between locations is preferred
- Good organisational skills with the ability to follow detailed care plans accurately
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Basic IT skills for documentation and communication purposes
- Strong interpersonal skills with a caring and empathetic approach towards clients
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
