Avia Technique, a busy and growing aviation safety and survival maintenance centre, is seeking a Junior Quality Engineer to join our in‑house Quality Department. Reporting to the Quality Manager, you will help promote quality principles across the wider SK AeroSafety Group and support ongoing continuous improvement activities. This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career within aerospace quality and compliance.
We are looking for an individual with audit experience who can contribute to the promotion of quality across our site, including fitness for purpose, value, compliance and continuous improvement. You will play a key role in supporting our quality systems, maintaining compliance documentation, and managing calibration schedules with external calibration organisations, as well as assisting with internal and external audits within a regulated aviation environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support continuous improvement activities, including documentation, KPI reporting and PEAR metrics.
- Assist departmental leaders with the development, implementation and maintenance of QA/QC programmes.
- Maintain and update Component Maintenance Manuals, capability lists and associated maintenance data.
- Review Quality Hold issues and support resolution activities.
- Manage the calibration register, including planning and tracking equipment sent for calibration.
- Maintain internal and external audit schedules, conduct audits and assist with closing nonconformities.
- Support senior management in reviewing Quality Objectives and Quality Policy.
- Assist with risk identification and mitigation across Group activities.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of EASA Part 145, Part 21.G, FAR145, ISO 9001 and AS9100 requirements.
- Carry out additional quality‑related tasks as required.
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Self‑motivated, inquisitive and able to use their own initiative.
- Able to interpret complex information and manage their own workload effectively.
- A strong communicator with excellent attention to detail.
- Proficient in MS Office and comfortable preparing reports for senior management.
- A team player with a flexible approach to work.

Qualifications & Experience
We welcome applicants with a range of educational backgrounds. The following would be beneficial:
- GCSEs (essential), A‑Levels or a Degree (desirable).
- Experience in compliance auditing (essential).
- Experience in a similar role or engineering/technical environment (desirable).
- Knowledge of EASA Part 145, Part 21.G, FAR145, AS9100 and aerospace best practice (desirable).
