Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a variety of equipment and machinery across our operations. Duties
- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Diagnose mechanical issues using schematics and technical manuals
- Utilise hand tools and power tools to assemble, disassemble, and repair equipment
- Perform welding tasks as required to repair or modify components
- Assist in the installation of new machinery and systems
- Carry out heavy lifting tasks safely when moving or installing equipment
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and repairs undertaken
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimise downtime
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company policies
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing operational concerns efficiently
Experience
- Proven experience in mechanical repair or maintenance roles, ideally within an industrial or manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, schematics, and assembly processes
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and basic maintenance procedures
- Experience in equipment repair, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance programmes
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately
- Physical capability for heavy lifting and working in demanding environments
- Previous experience providing customer service or technical support is advantageous
