Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and organised Reception Team Leader to oversee the front desk operations within our organisation. The successful candidate will be an autonomous, dedicated and responsive Reception Team Leader who will embrace the ongoing change in the NHS. The ideal candidate will be a problem solver, able to identify areas for improvement and implement new systems and solutions to improve efficiency and safety. This role offers an opportunity to lead a dynamic team in a professional environment, contributing to the overall efficiency and positive experience of visitors and staff alike. This role will be worked across our four rural practice sites.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and support the reception team to deliver outstanding customer service at all times.
- Coordinate daily front desk activities, including greeting visitors, managing appointments, and handling enquiries.
- Ensure the reception area remains tidy, welcoming, and well-organised.
- Assist in training new team members and providing ongoing support to existing staff.
- Collaborate with other departments to facilitate effective communication across the organisation.
- Hold regular team meetings to support team communication and engagement.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Proven leadership skills and experience with a strong understanding of managing team dynamics.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of motivating team members and engaging with visitors professionally.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
- A proactive attitude with a keen eye for detail.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing organisational needs.
- Driving License essential.
- SystmOne and Dispensing experience both desirable.

Job details
This role can be worked over 25 - 37.5 hours. The Reception Team Lead role will include some reception shifts alongside the team and allow time for leadership duties. The role will require flexibility to meet business needs.
Salary will be dependent on skills and experience.
