SEN Sports Coach – Southampton

Are you a passionate Sports Coach looking to use your skills in a rewarding education setting?
We are recruiting enthusiastic and resilient Sports Coaches to work within specialist SEN schools across Southampton, supporting children and young people with Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, and other additional learning needs.
This is an excellent opportunity for coaches, sports graduates, youth workers, or fitness professionals looking to transition into education while making a real impact on young people's lives.
The Role
- Deliver engaging sports and physical activities tailored to individual needs.
- Support pupils in the classroom and during PE lessons.
- Build positive relationships and act as a positive role model.
- Encourage teamwork, confidence, communication, and emotional regulation.
- Support students with behaviour management using positive strategies.
- Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and support staff to help pupils achieve their potential.
What We're Looking For
- Sports coaching, PE, or youth work experience.
- A passion for supporting children and young people.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, resilience, and a positive attitude.
- Experience with SEN, SEMH, Autism, or ADHD is desirable but not essential.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
