Job Overview
We are a main dealer equipped, fully air conditioned family run business and are seeking a skilled Motor Vehicle Technician to be a part of our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles, ensuring they meet safety and performance standards. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive inspections of vehicles to identify faults and issues
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic problems using schematics and our OE diagnostic equipment
- Perform repairs and maintenance on vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and electrical components
- Utilise hand tools, power tools, and assembly techniques to complete repairs efficiently
- Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams to facilitate accurate repairs
- Carry out equipment repair and maintenance tasks to ensure optimal operation of workshop tools and machinery
- Assist with vehicle assembly or disassembly as required during repair or refurbishment projects
- Maintain detailed records of all work performed in accordance with company standards
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Motor Vehicle Technician or similar role within the automotive industry
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with practical skills in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
- Familiarity with reading schematics, technical manuals, and assembly instructions
- Experience in vehicle maintenance, equipment repair, and general workshop practices
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Good communication skills to interact effectively with colleagues
- Physical capability for heavy lifting and prolonged standing during repair tasks

Pay: £40,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
