Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of meals according to established recipes and standards.
- Maintain high levels of food safety and hygiene throughout the kitchen.
- Support the team in food preparation tasks, including chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients.
- Help with catering events as required, ensuring that all food is presented beautifully and served on time.
- Keep the kitchen area clean and organised, including washing dishes, cleaning surfaces, and disposing of waste properly.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow during busy periods.
- Follow instructions from senior kitchen staff and contribute ideas for menu improvements or new dishes.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred but not essential; a willingness to learn is key.
- Basic culinary skills and knowledge of food safety practices are advantageous.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Flexibility to work various shifts as required by the business needs.
