Duties
- Deliver high-quality patient care by assisting with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Support clients with medication administration following prescribed schedules and safety protocols
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe living environment
- Provide emotional support and companionship to reduce feelings of loneliness and promote mental well-being
- Support clients with Alzheimer’s, dementia, or other cognitive impairments through behavior management techniques
- Drive clients to appointments, social activities, or errands safely and responsibly when required
- Follow health and safety guidelines including first aid procedures in case of emergencies
- Assist with heavy lifting or transfers using proper techniques to ensure safety for both clients and caregivers
Experience
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home care environments is highly desirable
- Proven caregiving experience with elderly or disabled individuals, including dementia or hospice care
- Knowledge of medication administration, behavior management, and patient care best practices
- Familiarity with driving responsibilities related to client transportation is preferred
- Experience in meal preparation, light housekeeping, and supporting clients with mobility challenges is advantageous
- Certification in first aid or CPR is a plus
- Ability to handle physically demanding tasks such as heavy lifting safely and effectively
